Gratitude

“Faith and fear make poor bed fellows, where one is found, the other cannot exist”- Napoleon Hill———— What we focus on is naturally what we will receive more of in life. And so it follows then that if we want happiness, we should focus on and do those things that make us happy. Choosing to be happy is a very deliberate process, in fact we are as happy or as sad as we very well want to be. Happiness is not something that just comes to us without any effort or dedication directed at it. Rather, it is something that must be focused on and worked towards every single day. & so when people are consistently happy, you can bet your bottom dollar that they actively work on acquiring & maintaining that state of being, and the same follows for when people are consistently sad or negative. We always have a choice as to what thoughts that can & will  occupy our mind. We are free to choose one over the other- but not both, not at the same time anyhow. Since we are going to be thinking anyway; why not choose to occupy our mind with thoughts of gratitude, happiness, faith & all of the other good things that life has to offer. There will always be times in our lives when we will have to battle negative or unpleasant thoughts but those times should be few and far between. Not the other way around… “ If you suffer it is because of you, if you feel blissful it is because of you. Nobody else is responsible only you, and you alone. You are your hell, and your heaven too” Osho
